Post-meeting Resources

Course Description and Special Features

WHY ATTEND?

In medical school, residency, and fellowship training, you learned how to provide high quality patient care. At IDSA’s Annual Meeting, you keep pace with cutting-edge medical science. But what good does this knowledge do you—or your patients—if your practice struggles to stay afloat?

CPM09 Preliminary ProgramThis two-day meeting will specifically address current trends affecting the practice of infectious diseases. By attending, you will learn ways to improve practice efficiency and increase profitability, so that you can concentrate on what you do best: providing quality patient care. Hear from experts about timely issues that are relevant to your work—including in-depth discussions on the future of the U.S. health care system, the role of the ID specialist in quality improvement, the challenges of human resource management, how to negotiate with infection control contracts, wound care management billing and coding, and how to resolve conflicts.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Practice Managers’ Roundtable—Practice managers will have a special opportunity to meet with peers at two roundtable sessions that will enable them to share ideas about innovative, practical approaches to running an ID practice. Multiple Breakout Sessions—Break-out style sessions provide a variety of learning opportunities tailored to your specific needs.
