Education Committee

To develop and make recommendations on the development of any new educational meeting, program, or services for members; to establish an ongoing process to get feedback from the membership on their educational needs; to oversee the Society’s efforts to maintain ACCME accreditation; to monitor developments with respect to post-graduate education in infectious diseases; to monitor developments with respect to certification and re-certification in infectious diseases; and to make recommendations for activities/issues under its purview that involve federal legislation or regulation. 

ID Training Program Directors Committee

To establish and maintain communication with all infectious diseases academic units with accredited training programs in infectious diseases.

CME Sub-Committee

The CME Sub-Committee works to oversee issues related to the accreditation of all IDSA CME activities, along with IDSA’s reaccreditation process as well as review all IDSA’s CME activities to ensure compliance with ACCME regulations and criteria, to include the development of improved assessment modalities to comply with new outcomes-oriented requirements.
