Dedicated technical support staff is required prior to and on test day(s)

A secure browser is required to administer the ITE. The secure browser “locks down” the computer, preventing examinees from accessing applications such as email or notepad. The secure browser application does not require configuration or administrator rights to install and is downloaded on test day when the Examinee URL is provided by the proctor.
Prior to test day, a workstation utility must be run on all fixed examinee workstations and laptops. The utility checks the workstation to ensure compatibility with the secure browser. This utility will be provided to the program director and should be forwarded to the chief proctor and to examinees using their personal laptops for the exam.
In addition to examinee workstations, a separate workstation designated for use by the proctor must be available in each testing room.
It is also advisable to test extra examinee workstations as back-ups in case of hardware failure on test day.
