    Fellows-in-Training

IDSA is dedicated to fostering the professional growth of infectious diseases fellows. In this section there are specific resources for fellows- research and funding opportunities, courses, meetings, a list of infectious diseases training programs, and more.

    Information for Training Program Directors

    Resources for Fellows:

    IDSA HCV Knowledge Network

The IDSA Hepatitis C (HCV) Knowledge Network offers a monthly, hour-long webinar to educate IDSA members about the current recommended practices to effectively identify, treat, and manage patients infected with the hepatitis C virus (HCV).

    IDSA Fellows In-Training Examination

The Fellows In-Training Exam (ITE) gives fellows an opportunity to identify areas in which they need additional programmatic instruction and self-directed learning. Test takers are able to compare their scores with fellows nationwide.

    IDSA Practice Exam

The IDSA Practice Exam is a timed exam, containing 50 case-based multiple-choice questions, and designed to provide an opportunity to prepare for the ID Board Exam, in addition to a general review of infectious diseases topics. Upon completion of the exam, a score, along with a report containing learning objectives of items answered incorrectly, will be provided. The exam has been created in cooperation with the National Board of Medical Examiners.

    Infection Control Course

The Infection Control Course is currently closed. A new course, developed by SHEA, will be available in fall 2014.
