Didactic Lectures
Hands-on Experience

The Program provides training in hospital epidemiology through:

Didactic Lectures
Rotation with Infection Control Service. Attendance at the annual Fellows Course Hospital Control and Epidemiology

The Program provides clinical experience for fellows in the following:

Infections in marrow transplant
Infections in solid organ transplant patients
Infections in travelers and tropical medicine
Infections in children
Continuity clinic for HIV+ patients
Fungal infections, diagnostics, therapeutics
Infections in HIV/AIDS, including opportunistic
Sexually transmitted diseases
Viral Infections (non-HIV), including HSV, CMV, VZ
Emerging pathogens
International Health
Fellows have the opportunity to do a month of pediatric ID at Children's National Medical Center, a month-long rotation at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a one-week microbiology rotation at NIH, an epidemiology course at Johns Hopkins, and to attend one paid educational meeting per year.
