IDSA supports emergency funding for pandemic influenza preparedness in light of the 2009 H1N1 Influenza outbreak.  Funds would be used for vaccine development, antivirals purchase, state and local efforts, global disease detection, purchases of personal protective equipment and antivirals for prophylaxis of healthcare workers, etc.
