FY2018 Budget
As a new administration and new Congress shape federal spending priorities for the next year, IDSA and HIV are keeping a close watch on our members' priorities, which include robust funding and support for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of health research and programs to confront infectious diseases, HIV, and the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance. We are tracking the budget considerations and responding to them here, with issue briefs, fact sheets and IDSA and HIVMA leaders' statements.
Save NIH Funding
Promoting ID/HIV research is a high priority for IDSA and HIVMA. IDSA and HIVMA have created several new fact sheets to advocate for the importance of robust funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and the Fogarty International Center.
