Now as a podcast and in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, IDSA Board member Maximo Brito, MD, FIDSA and panelists Vincent Guilamo-Ramos, Ph.D. and Carina Marquez, MD discuss the rich diversity within Latinx communities, cultural practices to facilitate health interventions, leveraging community partnerships and how to support pathways for Latinx students entering the medical field. They also shared lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, including ways to leverage community partnerships to support vaccine booster acceptance and accessibility to healthcare.
