Quality measure concepts

As a publisher of clinical practice guidelines and other guidance, IDSA has taken a leadership role in generating concepts for quality improvement measures specific to the best practices associated with the treatment of infectious diseases. These measure concepts are designed to support ID physicians, pharmacists and clinicians in local quality improvement activities. Each includes suggested specifications for collection and supporting references where applicable. These measure concepts can be used to assess performance on a key element of a guideline or best practice, identify potential opportunities for improvement or monitor progress of an improvement project.

IDSA welcomes feedback from members on measure concepts, including suggestions for specifications and learning from testing their use. Please contact us with input or questions.
