Barbara D. Alexander, MD, MHS, FIDSA

Barbara D. Alexander, MD, MHS, FIDSA, is the immediate past president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (which produces this blog) and a professor of medicine and pathology at Duke University School of Medicine where she also serves as director of Transplant Infectious Diseases Service; head of Clinical Mycology Laboratory and director of the Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. She is principal investigator of the Duke University NIHT32-funded Transplant Infectious Diseases Interdisciplinary Research Training Program.
