Hilal Abdessamad, MD, MS, holds an infectious diseases fellowship from the Lebanese American University – Lebanon and is a current infectious diseases fellow at the University of Missouri – Columbia. He also holds an MS in applied artificial intelligence from the Lebanese American University – New York. He worked for two years in clinical trial research and is still active in medical research. His research interests include HIV, STIs, public health, antimicrobial resistance, bacteriophage therapy, medical education and AI in medicine. He has over 24 publications and is an active peer reviewer for multiple journals. He is the author of his own blog, The Honest Dose, where he integrates medical myth, fact and AI.
