Jessica Zering, PharmD, BCIDP, BCPS, CAPM, is an antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist working for the Washington State Department of Health. She is board-certified in infectious diseases and has worked in pharmacy in different roles and settings for over a decade. Prior to her current role, she worked as a pharmacist at a critical access hospital. The stewardship program that she created during her time there was featured on a CDC/HRSA webinar titled “Enhancing Antibiotic Stewardship Programs in Critical Access Hospitals” in November 2021 and in the February 2022 edition of the Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project publication. She is passionate about protecting patients and communities from the unwanted consequences of antimicrobial use.
