Thomas A. Moore, MD, FACP, FIDSA

Thomas A. Moore, MD, FACP, FIDSA, graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1989 and completed his residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, serving as chief resident at The Methodist Hospital. He completed subspecialty training in infectious diseases in general and tropical disease in particular at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Moore served on staff at NIH and the National Naval Medical Center before returning home to Kansas. He maintains a busy consultative infectious diseases practice within a single-specialty group of other ID physicians. In addition to clinical duties, Dr. Moore’s academic duties include an appointment as clinical professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Campus. He has received recognition for excellence in teaching medical students and residents and has been recognized by his peers for his medical service to the community. Dr. Moore has been a principal investigator for research projects on tropical and parasitic diseases both at home and abroad.
