Julie Caffrey, DO, MS, is an associate professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Caffrey is a clinician scholar and an expert in burn surgery, burn reconstruction and quality improvement in burn units. She did her burn fellowship at Johns Hopkins and joined the faculty in 2015. Dr. Caffrey served as the Johns Hopkins burn fellowship director from 2018 to 2026 and has trained many fellows in burn surgery who have gone on to successful careers in burn surgery. Dr. Caffrey has led countless quality improvement projects in the Johns Hopkins Regional Burn Unit, has published over 70 papers and has lectured nationally on her work.
