Expanding the Reach of ID: IDSA Updates Position Statement on Telehealth

IDSA’s Telehealth and Emerging Technology Work Group, a subgroup of the IDSA Clinical Affairs Committee, recently updated IDSA’s position statement on the use of telehealth and telemedicine in the practice of infectious diseases. The updated paper includes a discussion of established use cases for telehealth as well as information on licensing and credentialing, reimbursement, quality of care, liability and documentation of services.
