The “Mask Up, America” campaign, which encourages people to wear face masks to stem the ongoing spread of COVID-19, has reached tens of millions of Americans in the past six months. The ads have appeared on digital platforms and social media, in bus stops, gas stations, restaurants, bars and other public areas nationwide. In addition, IDSA board members recently participated in nearly 100 television interviews publicizing the effort.
