Associate Editor Mati Hlatshwayo Davis, MD, MPH, discussed equitable strategies for balancing in-person learning and keeping students healthy with panelists Andrea Ciaranello, MD, MPH, C. Buddy Creech, MD, MPH, and Jason Mix, MA, EdS. In the final part of the roundtable, panelists share their perspectives on masking as a part of mitigation strategies within schools and whether resistance to masking may be a symptom of longstanding mistrust of medicine. Panelists recommend identifying effective and trusted communicators to listen to and address questions and concerns from their local communities.
