IDSA offers many online products for fellows and specialists to continue their educations. Online Courses Continuing Education IDSA is committed to providing the tools and resources necessary to stay up-to-date in the field of infectious diseases. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit is offered through a variety of sources. Practice ExamExternal Link IDSA, in cooperation with the National Board of Medical Examiners, has created a timed Practice Exam. The exam is designed to provide an opportunity to prepare for the ID Board Exam. It contains 50 case-based multiple-choice questions as a general review of infectious diseases topics. Like the Board Exam, the Practice Exam is timed. Users are allotted up to one hour and 40 minutes to take the exam. Upon completion of the exam, a score, along with a report containing learning objectives for items answered incorrectly, will be provided. The Practice Exam is available online. The non-member price is $150; members receive a $50 discount. New users must register to access the exam. Questions can be directed to PEtechsupport@idsociety.org. Infection Control Course The course "Primer on Healthcare Epidemiology, Infection Control & Antimicrobial Stewardship: Online ID Fellows" is a product of the membership of the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and is endorsed by Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society (PIDS).
