Allison Agwu, MD, ScM, FIDSA, is a professor of pediatric and adult infectious diseases at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. The chair-elect of the HIV Medicine Association, she is a current voting member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents and a former longstanding member of the pediatric treatment guidelines panel. Dr. Agwu is engaged in both clinical care as the director of the Pediatric Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program and the Accessing Care Early Clinic (for youth and young adults with HIV) and research (as former chair of the Complications Scientific Committee for the International Maternal Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials Network, as co-director of the JHU Center for AIDS Research Adolescent and Young Adult Scientific Working Group, and through her own independent research portfolio).
